This is from the engine compartment looking up and back. Note stuffing box.  It is supposed to be placed above the waterline. This one is just above.

Same angle while doing dry fit of sheave angles. Note nylon line is used to line up the sheaves instead of the stainless wire rope.

Edson sent a paper template that I used to drill these holes.

I have sent placed engine controls and will place the compass on top of the pedestal.

 

I wish i could cite my source, but i was advised to make this plywood mock of the quadrant to use when working out spacings under the sole. It was much easier to use than the heavy bronze.
